Back in the days when I was slagging on Roger L. Simon (Da Raj) continuously, I got a lot of email from (obviously well-meaning) fatheads telling me that I either had some serious mental health issues or where on the verge of having some serious mental health issues. When I bothered to respond to them at all, I usually pointed out to them that the only reason they were at this web site in the first place was because I was Ragging On Raj. Then I asked them to give me an assessment of their own mental health.
Usually, that's all it ever took to end the discussion about my state of mind (and get rid of them).
I mention this because I'm now starting to get emails for various folks - some known to me and some not - about the fact that Da Raj is back to his old hustering ways. Evidently he's hit upon the idea of hiring Samuel "Joe the Plumber" Wurzelbacher and sending him to Israel for 10 days to find and interview Jewish Joes. Given the fact I didn't give a shit about the whole Joe the Plumber thingy when it boiled up during the election, I think this isn't going to qualify as must-see t.v. in the Peasant household.
The reason I consider this stunt to be typical Raj huckstering is simple: Joe the Plumber will be on Pajamas Media's subscription-only PJTV web site. In other words, Da Raj is betting Joe the Plumber can help him sell the idea that you should plunk down between $15 and $37 per month to watch Da Raj, Glenn Reynolds and the rest of the D-listers at Pajamas Media interview each other... as well as folks you've never heard of and could care less about.
It's pathetic, but in all honesty I can't work up the enthusiasm to mock it. I just don't care about Da Raj or Pajamas Media anymore. Beyond occasionally wishing I'd never met Roger L. Simon, I never think about 'em. I've had the satisfaction of helping make sure Roger's reputation was tarnished by exposing the manner in which he conducted business (and treated people), as well as the satisfaction that I was able to help make Pajamas Media a laughingstock at the time of its' launch. That's all I required for my pound of flesh.
Sorry to disappoint you (and I'm probably passing up a sure link from Wolcott over at Vanity Fair because of this), but if you want Ragging On Raj, you'll have to look elsewhere.
Say it ain't so Dennis! Ah well, ya know what they say the opposite of love isn't hate, it's indifference. You're taking a mature, healthy and totally disappointing attitude about this Dennis. Sure the lefty blogosphere can make fun of those clowns, but they weren't in on the ground floor, they don't know Da Raj and most wouldn't even think of spewing that vitriol, that hoodoo, like you do so well.

You're singing to the choir. This Joe thing is so huckster snake oil and the right wing enthusiasm is embarrassing to watch.
