I think it fair to say that we can all agree that Mr. Obama's press conferene last night was close to a complete triumph.
I know I'm feeling good all under.
After all, the President managed avoid telling more retard jokes and - and I do mean and - giggling like a schoolgirl when discussing our present economic problems.
And Lord Knows, after the past couple of weeks, that has to count for something.
Then again...
About the only blemish I could find in the whole affair was this peculiar statement by Mr. Obama regarding last week's AIG Bonus Clownshow:
It took us a couple of days because I like to know what I'm talking about before I speak.
This statement was made in response to a question asking why it took Mr. Obama so long to express his deeply heartfelt outrage over the $165 million in bonuses paid to AIG executives.
Given the fact that we now know that Mr. Obama's Treasury Secretary and members of his own Administration worked tirelessly with Senator Dodd to ensure those bonuses could be paid, one has to wonder - I know I do - just what sort of information Mr. Obama received during those "couple of days" that he didn't have before.
Nevertheless, he did manage to forego the retard jokes...
If I could be so bold as to point out that the participants in the Special Olympics are not "retards", and that the word "retard" is considered very offensive to those who are development disabled or mentally challenged.
Just saying...

Point away. I couldn't agree with you more.
My use of the term is deliberate and within context is used to make a point.

Hey c'mon, you can't just pin the blame on somebody else for something like this on the spur of the moment.
It takes everyone on Jornolist a couple of days to check their email.

"Nevertheless, he did manage to forego the retard jokes..."
No he didn't. Now he's just acting them out...
