Mark, that's your cue.

You're gonna have to be a little more explicit than that Dennis. Obama not doing enough for gays again? Hasn't righted all the troubles in the world yet?
In the meantime I post this for your entertainment.
Rep. John Culberson (R-TX) twittered earlier today, "Good to see Iranian people move mountains w social media, shining sunlight on their repressive govt - Texans support their bid for freedom," He then followed it up with this: "Oppressed minorities include House Repubs"
So after much laughter from lefty blogs Culberson dug in further. "Pelosi etal shut down House amendments & debate on Approps Bill to prevent conservatives from slowing down their uncontrolled spending spree,"
Rep. Pete Hoekstra (R-MI) has also Tweeted on the similarities between the oppressed House Republicans and the Iranians taking to the streets: "Iranian twitter activity similar to what we did in House last year when Republicans were shut down in the House."
He apparently thinks the little "Drill baby drill!" stunt during the summer recess = the Iranian protests over their election. I don't recall any Democrats leaning in a window and interrupting them with a spray of AK-47 fire.

Didja ever notice you can tell how much someone likes you by counting how many fingers they hold up when they wave at you ? The more they hold up, the more they like you !

It's under review, it always is. Hey, there's an idea he can transparently claim executive privilege. Or, is that claim transparent executive privilege?
Posted by: Allen | June 17, 2009 at 05:54 PM
Well, he only used one "um" and that's definitely an improvement.

Among his(?) the new moves since taking office are the overturning of a Bush administration executive order that limited public access to presidential records from earlier presidencies; an order to agencies to have a presumption in favor of disclosure; and a "memorandum of transparency" that Obama signed on his first full day in office.
The memo ordered executive agencies to take "specific action" to be more transparent. A White House official noted that the administration has created a Web site for information about the Recovery Act and posts presidential memoranda and executive orders on WhiteHouse.gov.
The White House also agreed to release memorandums detailing the alleged torture of detainees, sparking a heated debate and criticism from former Bush administration officials.
Who knew you guys were so concerned about secrecy. You never mentioned a word about it during Bush's 8 years. And as for lefties staying mum I suggest you turn on Keith Olberman. He's chewing that bone down to the marrow.
But back to the funny stuff. Pete Hoekstra is getting the kind of responses he deserves:
ArjunJaikumar @petehoekstra i spilled some lukewarm coffee on myself just now, which is somewhat analogous to being boiled in oil
chrisbaskind @petehoekstra My neighbor stopped me to talk today. Now I know what it is like to be questioned by the Basij!
luckbfern @petehoekstra I stand in solidarity with the oppressed rich white men of Repub Party in the House. #GOPfail Allah Akbar!
aciolino @petehoekstra Today I poked my finger on a hanger. Now I know what all those aborted babies go through.
ceedub7 @petehoekstra I got a splinter in my hand today. Felt just like Jesus getting nailed to the cross.
netw3rk @petehoekstra Someone walked in on me while I was in the bathroom. Reminded me of Pearl Harbor.
MattOrtega Walked out onto Constitution Ave in D.C. and was almost hit by a taxi. Reminded me of Tienanmen Square.
tharodge @petehoekstra maybe now is a good time to reconsider whether you are ready for national politics?
TahirDuckett @petehoekstra ran through the sprinklers this morning, claimed solidarity with victims of Hurricane Katrina
paganmist @petehoekstra Had to move all my stuff to a new office w/o a corner view. Now i know what the Trail of Tears was like. #GOPfail

Oh No! Head of CA GOP Voter Registration Firm Pleads Guilty to Voter Registration Fraud. Say it ain't so!
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2009/06/owner-of-registration-company-pleads-guilty-to-voter-fraud.html
This creep and his minions were "registering" Democrats -- changing their addresses, changing their party affiliation, changing their status, i.e., vote by mail, and generally depriving their victims of the right to vote. At best many could only vote provisionally.
This guy was arrested in October, right when the GOP mouth frothing about ACORN was at it's height. Now you'd think if the head of ACORN was arrested let alone pled guilty this would be all over the news. I'm sure FOX will be going with it all day tomorrow, aren't you?

Thanks for those Twitters Marky, the derivative pile on truly is the essence of wit.
Here's another one I found -
markg8@peterhoekstra had Obama's cock in my mouth for an hour today - now I know how Linda Lovelace felt

Mark-
Pointing out Republican shortcomings does not change the fact that once again President Obama has chosen to ignore an important campaign pledge regarding how he would conduct the people's business. It is worth noting that once again, President Obama has chosen to carry on in the tradition of George W. Bush.
The fact that you're choosing to either ignore, dismiss or deflect these facts when they are presented to you indicates you are acting in a fashion remarkably similar to the way Republicans reacted to Bush in 2004 and 2005. That said, I'd advise you to be careful of who you make fun of and why... you're only a step or two from joining them!
Posted by: Dennis the Peasant | June 18, 2009 at 07:27 AM
I'll take that under advisement Dennis. Fact is that very article you cited pointed out a lot of the things Obama has done to make government more transparent. Kind of had to seeing how many Bushies burrowed into civil service jobs in the last few months of 2008 where it's hard to fire them and they can carry on making government dysfunctional.
I'm a realist about politicians Dennis. I don't expect every single sentence a candidate says in the heat of the campaign to become policy. As I've said before I'm happy if my guys accomplish 65% of what they say they say they'll do.
And I think it's a pretty important fact when it comes to election and registration fraud despite what you hear from Republicans and the media it's Republicans who usually get convicted of this stuff. When you can catch them.

That's not a fact, Marky, which you'd know if you were actually honest about about it. Which you are not.
Posted by: Eric Blair | June 18, 2009 at 11:30 AM
Dennis is 100% spot on. We should not criticize others for doing what we are doing. Of course we will always have the - He was doing it more than me excuse - OR- Hey , I thought it was OK, no one said we could not do that excuse and so on . And on and on and on and on.
Posted by: shrubnose | June 18, 2009 at 11:58 AM
Eric it is true. This Jacoby registered himself to vote in different places and he and his punks intentionally fouled up the registrations of who knows how many voters. And the CA GOP party liked his style so much they hired him to do their registration drive.
All you guys ever get on ACORN is minimum wage hirees that ACORN has caught and turned in themselves for making up names or going through the phonebook and filling out the form themselves. Name me one statewide ACORN coordinator who has been convicted of voter registration fraud. Show me one election you can prove has been thrown by ACORN. You can't because it hasn't been done.
Yet in election after election Republicans have been convicted, signed consent decrees to never use their intimidation tactics, shorted minority areas of ballots and equipment, used all kinds of ploys to suppress minority and youth voters.

Let me see if I can do this Marksist thing right:
"Oh, yeah? Well... well... BUSH fired IG's who investigated his supporters, too!"
Oh, wait, no he didn't. In that case, Marksist though goes:
"Oh, yeah? Well... well... let me change the subject!"
Wow, it's tougher to be Markg8 than I thought. No wonder the voters were intimidated by him...
Posted by: richard mcenroe | June 18, 2009 at 08:36 PM
Richard you couldn't be me in a thousand years. Since when did anyone bring up the firing of the IG? I can't change a subject that hasn't been brought up, but if you'd like to post some stupid nonsense about it you were dumb enough to believe I'd be happy to correct you with facts.

There is definitely a note of desperation creeping into some of the Obama fellator's posts.
"Sell 'em sunshine and ship 'em shit".
Posted by: PeterUK | June 20, 2009 at 01:02 PM
Petey you sure are into blowjobs. And the "sell 'em sunshine and ship 'em shit" line is what has made conservatives so popular these days.
