Nah with the efficiency of Medicare and Social Security. SS uses about 2% of it's money for overhead and Medicare uses about 3%. The CBO says with the restrictions on the public plan (most people can't join which I don't like) it'll only cover about 4% and private insurance will cover 96% of insured Americans by 2019. 97% of people in the US will have coverage by then. The other 3% are illegals. They get a pretty pony.

Funny Brak wasn't able to get that out himself.

The Post Office...

Bwahahahahahahaha!

He also fails to point out that FedEx and UPS are forbidden by law to compete with USPS in the regular delivery of mail... or the USPS would be gone.

Yeah, two bankrupt programs, reptile. There's a reference for ya.

Who are you kiddin Richard? FedEx and UPS have no interest in delivering mail to every single address 6 days a week in the USA. They like what they've cherry picked just like the insurance companies do.

We have Social Security and 401Ks, IRAs. We have public and private universities. We have Fed Ex and the post office. We have PBS and commercial radio and teevee. There's no reason not to have a public insurance option. Unless you're a dumb ideologue or a fool who thinks the system is fine the way it is.

This just in from multimillionaire investor and disgraced former hospital chief executive, Rick Scott whose company was fined a record $1.7 billion by Janet Reno's DOJ for defrauding Medicare:

We need to continue to bring this fight to every corner of the country. To do that, we need your help. We want to run local newspaper ads in Congressional districts across America to further educate our representatives in Washington about the dangers -- and expense -- of putting government bureaucrats in charge of your medical treatment.

For every $4700 we raise, we can target an additional Congressional district for these newspaper ads. Whether you can give the full $4700M or $470 or $47 or even just $4.70, every contribution will help bring us closer to our goal of taking the fight over government-run health care to the town halls and town squares of America.

Go all in boys, pony up that full $4,700! I like it when you waste your money on scams.

"Stagnant unemployment, shrinking tax revenue and a struggling economy threaten to quadruple the size of last year's federal budget deficit, raising more questions about the timing of costly proposals to overhaul health care.

As the White House and Congressional Budget Office (CBO) prepare to release new deficit estimates this month, several economists say the news is likely to be as bad as or worse than forecasts.

Deficits of $1.8 trillion this year and $1.3 trillion in 2010, as predicted by the White House, would add to the federal debt. The current $11.7 trillion debt already equals about $38,500 for every U.S. resident. The recession, now in its postwar-record 21st month, has dealt a worse blow to the budget than the administration expected:

Can we go over a two TRILLION dollar Deficit?

YES WE CAN!!!!!!"

Oh great, Mark has bolded the thread.

That was the GOP plan all along moron. Republicans ran up $11 trillion dollars worth of debt, (the national debt was $990 billion when Jimmy Carter left office) and fucked up the entire country. Slashed taxes, expanded spending without paying for a damn thing. Bush even put two wars on the nation's credit card but pretended it was off budget. Bush even surpassed Reagan by handing out no bid contracts every chance he got to further bankrupt the treasury.

Democrats are fixing that, the health care plan is deficit neutral, doesn't add to the debt. Now go put your pants back on Peter.

Mark-

HTML in your hands is often a dangerous weapon.

And you have to admit, giving $4.70, or $470.00, or even $4,700.00, is far more affordable than giving $150,000,000.00. It allows we simple citizens to buy politicians that, to date, have only been for sale to groups like the PhRMA.

Unless Obama is now offering volume discounts.

Obviously Kenneth Gladney only paid $4.70 for his protection to trade.

When you stop wearing the skirt Mark.

It allows we simple citizens to buy politicians that, to date, have only been for sale to groups like the PhRMA.

It allows you to help pay for a dishonest newpaper ad Dennis. That's all it does. Rick Scott these days has a bunch of walk in clinics that will be a lot less profitable if health care reform passes. You go ahead and help him out if you like.

Oh, so PhRMA is going to buy honest newspaper ads, Mark, because they are convinced Barack Obama is wise and virtuous above all else?

You really believe they don't give a hoot about their multi-billion dollar profits because Obama's health care reform is too important to deny the citizenry?

Believe that and I'll be happy to sell you a 230 mpg Chevy Shitmobile for the price of new new Volvo C30R just because I think you're special.

Dennis,are the adverts tax deductible?

What kind of mileage does that C30R get? I'm not much for sending more cash to Hugo Chavez or Saudi princes Dennis. But I guess you don't care. Just like you don't care if we have health care reform.

Class envy is amazing!

I saw that when he was giving the speech and about fell out of my chair. Unbelieveable admission. The logical conclusion then is to let private industry solve the problem.

But of course that is in no way the goal of our government.
