Again, too perfect.
Yesterday, liberal Democrats and the progressive blogosphere go ballistic and decided (not without reason, mind you) that there is no point in trying to work with the Republicans on health care, er, insurance reform. Administration super genius Rahm Emmanuel stokes the go-it-alone fires:
“The Republican leadership,” Mr. Emanuel said, “has made a strategic decision that defeating President Obama’s health care proposal is more important for their political goals than solving the health insurance problems that Americans face every day.”
Them are fightin' words, right?
Wrong. You have to remember that was what the Obama Administration was saying yesterday.
Today is a new day, with a new Party Line.
Here's what chinless wonder Robert Gibbs is saying now:
White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said the administration remains committed to drawing Republican support for the bill, particularly in the Senate.
“I don't know why we would short-circuit that now,” Gibbs told reporters.
He said the White House believes some Republicans on the Senate Finance Committee “are still working in a constructive way to get reform through the Senate and ultimately to the president's desk.”
So what is the President actually saying here? What is there to work on if Senate Republicans (much less some Senate Democrats) won't accept a public option? Is this the third flip-flop on the public option in three days? Or what?
Once again, Barack Obama demonstrates that he has the backbone of an eclair.
Somebody wake me up when the super genius decides what the fuck he wants.
"I told him we already have a public option..."
In the past I referred to the Obama administration as a train wreck. I think I need to apologize to train wrecks. They seem to be less catastrophic than these ass-clowns.

"apologize to train wrecks." That's good, that's very good.

Been busy out of town for a couple of days fellas. Once again The HELP Committee bill in the senate has a bunch of Republican amendments in it as does the the E&L committee bill in the House. The GOP can't say they had no input on this legislation even though most if not all won't vote for it.
