So much for game-changing speeches.
So much for "Win one for Teddy".
Max Baucus hasn't even presented his big compromise bill and it is already starting to stiffen:
The top Republican on the Senate Finance Committee said Tuesday that he could not support sweeping health care legislation drafted in more than three months of bipartisan negotiations by the chairman of the panel, and several liberal Democrats criticized the bill from the other side of the political spectrum.
Well, Barack Obama, super-genius, decided the smart thing to do was let Baucus do his heavy lifting. Now he has a Senate bill that satisfies neither Democrats nor Republicans. That means when set next to the House effort, Obama has a matching pair of unpopular and unpassable health care, er, insurance, er whatever the fuck it is today reform bills.
So now what? Another speech? Another townhall? More interviews?
You know, there's an excellent chance we will all die of old age before Barack Obama actually figures out what he actually wants and how to get it, thus rendering the issue of reform somewhat moot.
"You know, there's an excellent chance we will all die of old age before Barack Obama actually figures out what he actually wants and how to get it...."
How sad is it that the above is a best-case scenario?

Very, very sad.

If Jay Leno has it right, Big O has 5 appearances scheduled for shows this Sunday.

Could Kanye West run on stage and grab the mic from him during his next big speech?
Maybe that would help.

It would help me.

Absolutely, and beyond those mentioned above. The man is a narcissist, after all. If he loves listening to himself (and I've no doubt that he does), surely everyone else will. Or so he believes.
He certainly hasn't changed his approach thus far. That would require original thought, after all.

Actually, Obie knows exactly what he wants, in the same way a four year old girl knows she wants a pony for her birthday.
But like the four year old girl, he hasn't figured out how to pay for it,feed it, or keep the stable clean, and he's having a hard time convincing the grownups to do it for him...

The Won is going to do for the Ds what Carter did/is doing. Immunize a generation against leftism. At least the wilder aspects of it.
