He was not only a bore, he bored for England.
-Malcolm Muggeridge, on Anthony Eden
Can anyone identify the point of President Obama's Sunday Morning Borefest? The only thing I can think of is this: Barack Obama loves to listen to Barack Obama talk. What else could it be? Here's what he did say:
- Despite having a House bill that can't pass in the Senate and a Senate bill that won't pass in the House (or the Senate, for that matter), he still wants health care, er, insurance, er whatever the fuck it is today reform right away.
- He wants to win in Afghanistan but is "skeptical" of providing the military the resources needed to do the job. Warm up the bus, because Gen. McChrystal is going under it soon.
- And while you're at it, keep the bus running for ACORN. Obama was blasé about the organization's troubles, and refused to call for defunding, but let's get real here: Does anyone think Barack Obama is going to fight for ACORN funding?
This is getting more Carteresque by the moment...
And you thought that there was no one who could make you miss the good old days when GWB was POTUS!
I remember Carter and I am getting this sinking feeling that if you thought that gas lines, 13.5% inflation and 21.5% prime rates were bad just you wait. This guy is going to make a train wreck seem like bumper cars.

Ya don' unnastan'. This is BARRYWORLD. What he says, is so. So as long as his mouth is moving, all is right in his universe.
It's people talking back part that turns him into Stutterin' John.
Of course, if I was to evoke the Islamic heritage nobody who's anybody believes he has, I would say this was a classic case of "so let it be written, so let it be." If he says healthcare won't cost anything, it won't. If he says cash for clunkers was good for the car biz, it was. If he says those are his nukes, they are...

You don't understand, this is what Obama does, this is what he has always done, talk. He won't do presidenting because,at some point,he would have to do something, and that is something he has never done.
No doubt his staff are glad to keep him moving and talking, anything to keep him from doing.Although the Secret Service have instructions to shoot him if he goes over the edge.

Jesus H. Christ!
I had quit going to LGF a couple years ago. Although I didn't think Charles was CFOTT (completely fucking over the top) I did think most of his commentors were and the site was getting boring. Take a Pammycakes title, write a weak comment about it, and let loose his dogs (lizard commentors).
I just went there and read a few of his postings and either TNOYF has it dead on or that "California grass" has finally got to his head.

Barack Obama does not know how to run any kind of organization that doesn't require a lot of talkee-talkee without any substance. Rhetoric and nonsense. It's the activist way.

I'm not sure about ACORN going under the bus. It may not be doing Obama any good just now, but there are plenty of folks - all the way from local grafters to members of the US Senate and House of Representatives - who are getting boodle and votes from this racket.
ACORN is too big to fail, and it will probably survive in some form.

Warm up the bus, because Gen. McChrystal is going under it soon.
Not to mention most of CENTCOM and General Patreaus. Plus those Afghans (however many there are) who actively supported Coalition forces.
As for ACORN.....it's like the Mafia, only with a government charter or two. As such, it'll be hard to get rid of, but at least we can cut it loose from most of the public teat.

Oh, no. I rather imagine that since no later than last March, Carter has been getting down on his knees every night and thanking God that he will no longer be considered the worst president ever. It took Carter roughly 3 years to get to where Obamna is in less than 9 months. Of course, Carter's still working on being the worst Ex-president ever, but I wouldn't bet against Obama on that one, either. Not without odds, anyway.
