Dr. Sully takes a break from matters of the uterus to do some brow-furrowing over Paul Ryan's "budget":
How Credible Is The Paul Ryan Budget?
My view is that Ryan is far preferable to the total fraudulence of phony fiscal conservatives like Glenn Reynolds or Sarah Palin or the Tea Party "Government Out Of Medicare!" Movement. At least it opens up a more honest debate in a way the propagandists and opportunists on the right fail to do.
This is the kind of shit you start writing (and writing about) when The Ugly Truth closes in.
Absolutely nobody outside of the beltway gives a flying handshake about Republican budget proposals. And those inside the beltway - like Obama lamprey Andrew Sullivan - only care to the extent such proposals further their political (or personal) agenda. "Credibility" has nothing to do with anything.
At present we have a Democrat in the White House and Democratic majorities in the Senate and the House of Representatives. Ergo, the only budget proposal that matters is the one being presented by the party that controls two of the three branches of government. You would think this obvious, and quite frankly, it is obvious.
So why isn't Dr. Sully and the other Usual Suspects talking about Obama's budget? Well, because it sucks, that's why. Republicans and centrist Democrats hate it for its profligacy, and liberal/progressive Democrats hate it because it doesn't spend us into nirvana.
Obama's budget is a perfect example of Obama's most glaring weakness: In attempting to mollify all he mollifies none. Which is, of course, why dimwits like Andrew Sullivan are desperately trying to focus attention on meaningless diversions like Paul Ryan's budget.
These days "Hope and Change" seems largely to mean "I hope I can change the subject".
Paul Ryan's budget is exactly the kind of policy you'll see if Republicans get back the power to enact instead of just obstruct legislation. It's never wrong to remind people what the Republican party really stands for.

Leftie ain't even pretending to be bipartisan. Just like Obama, not so oddly.

Why sure, Lefty. That's exactly what the Republicans will do, seeing as that's exactly what they did not do between '94 and '06.
You fucking dolt.

If I thought the GOP would actually enact Ryan's plan, I'd donate my life savings to them.
