Ah, as a vote (or not) on health care reform nears, Democratic pollsters remind Democratic politicians that suicide is painless:
President Barack Obama's pollster said the healthcare bill will win over public support once it becomes law despite polls showing Americans against the plan.
The argument by Joel Benenson, Obama's lead pollster, rests on a chunk of Americans who now oppose the bill supporting it after it's passed. Benenson said that group -- which is anywhere from a tenth to a third of Americans, according surveys by CNN and Ipsos -- is skeptical of the bill because it doesn't go far enough."When it comes to health care and insurance, once reform passes, the tangible benefits Americans will realize will trump the fear-mongering rhetoric opponents are stoking today," Benenson wrote in a Washington Post op-ed Saturday.
Wonderful. And if a large cross-section of Americans realize all those "tangible benefits" before November, everything will be shits and giggles. Otherwise, Barry, Harry and Kamikaze Nan are taking the troops for a short walk off a very tall cliff.
So, if effect, what we have here is the Herpes Argument: You may not have wanted it, but now that you actually have it, you might as well learn to love it...
Man, these people are fucking lost.
Ha, the "toilet seat" did it!

Nah, that toilet seat business is an urban miss. But I did know a guy who got the clap from his blender. Blame bush!

Gonorrhea
Don't you know I have cum a long, long way
I've been burnin' to see ya
When Pelosi's around she discharges my blues away

Um, are those the benefits that aren't supposed to come into effect until 2012?

You mean 2013.

Insanity.

The tangible benefits of healthcare deform? Does he mean the conspicuous hastening of the huge economic crisis already closing in on us due to EXISTING unsustainable entitlements? What about the palpable loss of respect for the national government by the people due to the use of BS legislative tricks to force something down the public's throat that it obviously hates? Or maybe just the utter destruction of the Democrudic Party for a generation? (That one really IS a tangible benefit - Burn Mothers, Burn!)

Buy more ammo.

2013?
I thought bennies didn't kick in 'til 4 years after passage of the 'reform' bill, which by my back of the envelope calculations puts us in 2014.
'Course, taxes kick in from the git go.

The far-right wing HCR strategy = epic fail.

I wouldn't refer to Pelosi as "Kamikaze Nan." She represents San Fran/Marin. Her seat is safe, which is why she can afford to play Lemming in Chief.

True, she ain't flying a plane herself. But she is an enabler...

Much as I hate to agree in any way with the Democratic Party leadership, there is some sense in the view that this entire process has been such an epic fail that passage of the bill is now irrelevant. The stain, among those who care, is ineradicable, so since they're already going to do the time, they might as well do the crime.
I think that's arguable, but personally I think the taxes kicking in vs. the benefits out in 2014 means that it can get worse for the rank and file. Not that Nasrallah Nan cares. "Better to rule rubble than admit failure".
One might ask, though, why the rank and file continues to support a leadership that got them in to this mess, but some questions are perhaps best left implied.

What is this San Franciso demographic of Pelosi? What's the breakdown of her support? Because, reelecting the likes of her is an extraordinary thing to do.

Speaking of MI, Peter Graves has died.
Reid-Pelosi are Marjoe before his confessional movie, but they don't appear to have the imagination or gonads to reveal themselves, as he did.
May I apologize for the VD ostinato above, since sexual disease is not all that discriminating, despite its increased likelihood with undiscriminating congress...?

WTS -- Pelosi has the gay vote locked up. As long as she goes home once a year, marches in the gay pride parade, throws an arm around the shoulders of the founder of NAMBLA, and keeps making vague noises about someday legalizing gay marriage, North Korea could nuke the Golden Gate Bridge and she would still get re-upped.
