Actually, the way things are going, I'm somewhat surprised we didn't see about 30 House Democrats switch their "Yes" votes to "No" yesterday:
The president will refuse to make fund-raising visits during November elections to any district whose representative has not backed the bill.
A one-night presidential appearance can bring in hundreds of thousands of dollars in funds which would otherwise take months to accumulate through cold-calling by campaign volunteers.
Mr Obama's threat came as the year-long debate over his signature domestic policy entered its final week.
Given that lately a whole assortment of Democratic Senators and Representatives have been finding new and different reasons for not appearing with His Oneness, this threat may be met with more relief than anything else. Perhaps if he had threatened to force his way into their re-election campaigns, he might have been taken seriously.
If nothing else, however, this shows just how detached from reality Barack Obama, super-genius, really is at this historic point in time... He's publicly threatening to submarine members of his own party come November. Well, he said he was bringing change to Washington, didn't he? And it's really too bad for the Democratic Party that he has, isn't it?
This guy seems determined to self-destruct. He also seems determined to take the whole fucking party down with him. Absolutely amazing.
Damn, this just keeps getting better and better. I'll bet some of them are thinking, "maybe community organizer isn't a resume enhancer."
Tough choice they face, vote yes, have Obama show up and you will get tossed on your ass. Vote no, have Obama not show up and you might get tossed on your ass.
Will-might, will-might, tough one. It will be historic that's for sure.

Change "party" to "country" and I think you'll have it (also: alas, Babylon!).

"Well, he said he was bringing change to Washington"
Another misstype", Dennis?

He's publicly threatening to submarine members of his own party come November.
After seeing that, one has to wonder what Obama does in private. Tantrums? Pouting? Fits of rage? Burying his head in Michelle's bosom for a good cry? The mind boggles.

"This guy seems determined to self-destruct. He also seems determined to take the whole fucking party down with him."
At last he is doing something I can support him on.

I don't know about most incompetent, but certainly he's the most petulant.
